A Winter Wedding…

As the snow is falling we thought it only appropriate to share with you our beautiful Noble and Wright brides Jess and her incredible winter wedding story.

The Setting…

Jess and Ben got married in the Church where Jess grew up in Gaddesby. “St Luke’s Church is one of the oldest churches in England. It was a candle lit service which was decorated with beautiful candelabras and lots of foliage.” It is such a jaw dropping setting with the incredible stained glass backdrop for the ceremony.

They had their reception at Beedles Lake Golf Club in East Goscote which Jess said was perfect as it was close to the church and their guests didn’t need to brave the cold too much. “We chose the venue due to the beautiful surroundings. It is set on a beautiful lake which was perfect for the evening where we set fireworks off over the lake.”

Colours…

It was important to Jess to keep their day relaxed and informal. The time of year was clearly an inspiration for the day with rich opulent and warm tones. “We were more inspired by colours, which were Navy, Burgundy, Cream and Rose Gold.” Jess explains “With us having the wedding the weekend before Christmas, we did bring in some Christmassy touches, such as stockings hanging on the chairs and Christmas trees in the room.”

What was unique…

We absolutely love Jess’s idea to add a personal touch to their day. “We asked the guests to bring a bauble to hang on our first Christmas tree.” What a brilliant idea and token that they can really cherish, such a great way to remember their day every year. “This was a really special moment for both of us, as now every year, we can look at the baubles and think of our special day.”

Flowers…

Jess opted for a local independent company called Mulbery House Flowers. “Due to our colour scheme, we chose to use lots of foliage and deep red colours. For the buttons holes we had a mixture of pine cones, burgundy roses and berries. The bridesmaids had lots of foliage, burgundy and pink roses, white anemone’s, berries and wax flower.” We simply love Jess’s bouquet with the soft hand tied ribbon finish.

Hair and Make-up…

Jess was lucky enough to rely on one of her bridesmaids to do her hair who owns Jazz Hair in Leicester. “It was lovely having someone you know and love, do your hair!” With her makeup Jess wanted it to be natural. “My makeup and nails were done by a beautician in Syston, she was great at making me still look like me – but with flawless skin and amazing lashes!!”

Accessories…

Tying in with her colour tones Jess opted for Rose Gold accessories with her dress. “I also wore my Niany’s emerald and diamond ring, and my lovely mummy brought me a beautiful emerald and crystal Swarovski bracelet to match!”

Bridesmaids…

Jess had a great entourage on her day. She had 6 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls and a page boy. She opted for a beautiful mink tone for her bridesmaids with beaded tops. Faux fur stoles completed the winter feel for the bridesmaids. The flower girls wore lace and tulle with converse and the pageboy in a cute navy suit.

The Men…

Jess’s fiancé Ben and the other men wore sharp navy suits, matching the colour tones perfectly. “They wore white and their ties were burgundy knitted ties, which went beautifully with the button holes!”

Photographer…

Jess again was lucky enough to rely on another friend of hers. “Our photographer was one of our family friends, Ginny Tarelli! She was absolutely fab! We were her first wedding! She was just amazing! She captured our day perfectly, and what was so nice was that we knew her and could be so relaxed around her. She made us feel at ease and worked so hard to make the day go so smoothly without any timing issues!”

The Wedding Dress…

We designed a stunning silk crepe back satin dress for Jess with a beautiful pleated silk V neck and teamed it with a gorgeous and romantic organza skirt overlay with long dramatic train. We asked Jess to describe how she felt in her dress on the day. “My Dress….. My dress was just amazing! Once the first dance was over, I was able to slip the skirt off and still feel amazing showing off my flawless silk dress and belt. The dress felt amazing on the day! I felt like a princess! I did not want to take it off! I had so many comments saying how beautiful it was and how unique it was! A few people also mentioned it was the most beautiful wedding dress they have ever seen.”

Other suppliers…

Jess wanted us to mention her entertainment and decorations supplied by G-Force entertainment. Her cake was also made by a “wonderful family friend who also lent us his Rolls Royce for the day!

Final Comments from the bride…

“I personally want to thank the team at Noble and Wright for finding a dress that was simply beautiful! From the moment I walked in and made the first booking I knew I’d find the dress for me! Hannah was just amazing! Nothing was too much; you were greeted with smiles even when she was full of cold! Rachael and Hannah work as a great team and couldn’t do enough for you! You are both so talented and I have told everyone I know who is getting married to come to Noble and Wright as you will not be disappointed! Thank you girlies! I will be in soon with a card and bottle of bubbles to say thank you.
