Stylish Ibiza Wedding…

It was always such a pleasure dealing with Emma at her fittings. She knew exactly what look and style she was after and so made our job nice and easy. It also helped that Emma had such a beautiful figure so when we put her in a stunning bias cut David Fielden dress she fell in love with it instantly. Her dress is the epitome of effortless elegance and perfect for their Ibiza wedding setting. Read all about their day and what inspired Emma’s choices.

The Setting…

Emma and Alex chose the stunning island of Ibiza for their wedding. “Alex actually booked the venue before proposing, but Ibiza is our happy place where we instantly feel relaxed. Plus I’m obsessed with sunsets so having a sunset wedding was perfect.” Emma says that she loved the fact that Alex had picked the setting ahead of their engagement and loved that it was on “the beach with a beautiful view.”

The feel of the day & colours…

“My colour theme was Ivory and gold, with lots of dream catchers. I was bare foot, so we’re my bridesmaids and Alex kicked his shoes off after the ceremony.” The setting and all of Emma’s ideas suited a relaxed and calm vibe.

What was unique…

They were married in the evening at 6.30pm once the heat of the day had settled down. Emma explains “it was important that everyone enjoyed themselves so we kept the ceremony short and then it was all about the celebration.”

Flowers…

“I had peonies for my bouquet, baby breathe for my bridesmaids bouquet and button holes. Then hydrangeas for the tables. We also had a staircase which I walked down to get to the aisle and wanted wisteria draped from it – we went for artificial wisteria in the end.

Hair and Make up…

We adored the whole styling Emma chose to team with her dress especially her hair and make-up, she looked the epitome of effortless. “My hair was done by Joanne Moriarty from courts hair design in Northampton who flew to Ibiza especially. I wanted my hair up and we added clip in extensions for fullness as I wanted flowers in my hair too and to give added fullness to match my veil.

“My make-up was by EmJ Make up from Leicester who also flew out. We went for bronze/gold shades and a nude lip.”

Shoes…

Emma went bare foot but had a stunning lace and pearl foot decoration strap to add some beautiful detail.

Accessories…

“I wanted everything to be about my dress so I had simple pearl drop earrings and then wore a bracelet Alex surprised me with on the day.”

Bridesmaids & Groomsmen…

We also loved the colour of Emma’s bridesmaids. She opted for a really soft nude tone that looked beautiful against her dress. “I had 4 bridesmaids and the dresses were a pale champagne multi way dress by Eliza and Ethan and these were from Divine Boutique in Leicester.

“The groom wore a suit from Reiss with a bow tie and something unusual about our wedding was that our 2 year old little boy was best man. He wore a Marks and Spencer’s trouser and braces set and had his own button hole made which said ‘little best man’.”

How did your dress make you feel…

“My dress was a silk David Fielden dress with lace trim on the bottom and lace detail on the back with a bow that bellowed on the back. It was all about the back of the dress! But the veil I chose also set it off perfectly and I took the veil off straight after the ceremony after a few photos.

“I felt amazing in my dress – it fitted like a glove and was so easy to wear. That was one of the main things with having an abroad wedding. I didn’t want a heavy dress that was hard to move in. This was ideal and I had a detail added to hook my dress onto my wrist in the evening for dancing.”

“My dress was the opposite of what I thought I would ever pick, but so perfect and I can’t imagine being in anything else.”
